How data is used when you use Speedy to measure your connection.

What data is generated

Speedy calculates and shows download, upload, latency, and stability metrics. Those results may be stored on this site’s servers for history, maps, and alerts.

Sessions are often distinguished using an IP address or an equivalent technical identifier.

If you allow location in the browser, approximate coordinates may be stored with a measurement for map views. You can deny permission and still use most features.

Third parties in measurement

Your browser may request data from networks and services outside this site to complete a test (for example measurement against Cloudflare’s network or other endpoints the operator configured). Each provider applies its own policy to the traffic it receives.

If web analytics is enabled, that vendor may process data under its policy; on many deployments script loading depends on your consent in the site banner.

Interface fonts may load from Google or use system fonts, depending on site configuration.
